And Ireland's problem is.....

The proverbial dogs in the road know that Ireland is blessed with a bloated inefficient civil service, operating under 19th century work practices. Having unsuccessfully tried on a number of occasions to implement technology change there I know the challenges. The main one is that if anyone - anyone - doesn’t like what’s proposed, it doesn’t happen. So the old ways are continued, and the technology investments are wasted. As we’ve seen, billions have gone down the tube over the years.

It’s gratifying then to see that this has now dawned on our new Finance Minister. His biggest problem, he informs us, is that people refuse to move from where they’re not needed to where they are needed. Now get the word ‘refuse’ here, and who’s doing the refusing. They’re very highly paid, have no fear of redundancy, have pensions that those in the private sector can only dream of, are guaranteed pay increases every year, irrespective of the state of the economy. And they ‘refuse’ to move to where they’re needed.

Now once again, I come storming to the rescue, with a piece of brilliant innovative thinking that's quite clearly beyond the mental capacities of the Minister. And it’s this. Proclaim the following message to anyone who ‘refuses’ to transfer to where he’s needed: ‘you’re fired – clear out your desk’.

Now isn't that simple? Well, it should be. But for it to work the Government would have to do it’s job and confront the public sector unions. And this being Ireland, they won't do that. So the problem rolls on, financed by the increasingly beleaguered private sector golden goose. And how long will it be before this particular goose gives a final honk and expires?

Dumb drummers

My time in the rock business convinced me that drummers are at the very bottom of the food chain. And it figures. All you need is a sense of rhythm, you don't need to know any tricky stuff like chord formations, scales or harmonies. And I think it’s no surprise that black-dominated ‘music’ such as (c)rap is almost 100% rhythm, with only a token top line and a complete absence of complexity.

Steve, a drummer colleague of mine, typified the species, as this story underlines. His most notable characteristic was a mouthful of bad teeth. He must have been in agony from the exposed nerves, but he never seemed to notice. On one occasion, driving back from a gig in Kerry (I was at the wheel of the VW minibus) I made a comment to Pat Casey, the bass player. No response.

Now this in itself wasn’t surprising. Most of the scumbags would have been in a state of semi-inebriation, or could have been comatose due to the prevailing atmosphere in the vehicle. This was made up of:

A Certain Smile...

+ Oxygen/nitrogen 10%
+ Alcohol fumes 30%
+ Sweat fumes 10%
+ Steve’s rotting teeth 10%
+ Cigarette smoke 20%
+ Fart fumes (methane) 20%

This toxic fusion had a particularly severe impact on members who were not acclimatized. And Pat was very new. So I asked Steve, who was sitting beside Pat, to rouse him.

He’s not dare’

‘What do you mean he’s not there?’

‘He’s not dare’

‘Jesus Steve, I was talking to him ten minutes ago, I've been driving at 60 mph since then, so what the fuck do you mean he’s not there?’

‘He’s not dare’

I carefully turned around. And Steve was right! Where Pat had been, crushed up to Steve, there was now a void.

‘Jesus H. Christ Steve’ I screamed, ‘you’re sitting beside a guy, jammed up against him in fact, for an hour. He disappears, and you didn’t think it worth mentioning?’
‘I was tinkin’ about it’ he responded, offended

You were fucking thinking about it???

‘Sweet Jesus!’

In a sharp departure from German engineering standards, the VW minibus in those days had a side sliding door, which, if the catch were damaged, could fly open on the taking of a sharp right turn. And indeed, as we tracked back, we confirmed that this is what happened, finding Pat spread-eagled at the side of the road.

The last I heard of Steve was that, many years after the band’s breakup, he had seen Cormac, another old band buddy, in Academy St. in Cork. As they rushed to embrace they lost their footing at the edge of the kerb and fell in a tangled heap. Both ended up in hospital, Steve with a broken leg and Cormac with a broken wrist!

How did I ever grow up to be the normal balanced person I now am?

A nation in shock: Update

As anyone who checked the link for the previous post found out, the post was true - well, the scam info was true, maybe the public reaction was a bit exaggerated!

Some great comments - well worth reading. I publish one below and another which states "with each passing day and year in this now defunct Republic understanding of how hitler came to power in Germany becomes more apparent."

So true. But the difference is that Hitler came to power without much control of the media, here the 'enemy' have total control.

Anyway, check this:

"Maybe we should not be so quick to simply lay all the blame on the asylum fraudsters alone! It takes two to tango. And boy there seems to be plenty of money freely flowing around the asylum scam. For Nigerians it provides them a comfortable escape, away from their own particular brutal kindred, as well as being handed a 95% winning chance in a jackpot for life.

Factually just 5% of the more blatant fraudsters are ever repatriated by our so called liberal authorities. Therefore 95% of all asylum fraudsters get to milk our “free give away programs” funded by befuddled and bewildered Irish Taxpayers. Such well practiced scammers as Nigerians must surely be tickled pink at the level of crass stupidity they find in their “Irish benefactors”.

The Nigerians as colonisers have for many years targeted Ireland as their No 1 global destination. And indeed who could blame them at this stage. Of course for their own part they will ensure in due course that as or new colonisers they will deliver for Dublin and other cities here what they have long inflicted upon their own native Lagos and Abuja.

The word hellholes and living nightmares would not even begin to describe them adequately. No doubt our asylum cash must be some of the softest money available in the world, something which of course would be particularly attractive for such well practiced con-artists as Nigerians i.e.- and without the usual necessity for a gun or machete! All things considered it’s probably far more rewarding to them than even their usual, but somewhat tarnished, 419 Scams.

But yet surely the real responsibility for this self inflicted disaster must sit fairly and squarely on the shoulders of our own most Pious and sanctimonious political leaders. For Nigerians to operate this particular scam and milk it dry all that's ever really needed is a primitive-sounding, hard luck story and everything else usually flows from there, like milk and honey. Even their “tallest yarns” can never really be checked!

Travelling the 5,000 Klms or so to claim their bonanza, is compensated for, as the Irish gombeen natives have been conditioned to fawn over them and welcome them as “New Irish”, a professional chorus led and orchestrated by such maniac “half-wits” as –“Kebabs” Lenihan, Philip Watt, Ivana Bacik, and a rather pathetic effeminate old windbag known as Norris.

In return whatever the Nigerian “New Irish” might have a fancy for, such as a house, (fully furnished), free medical care, education for kids, legal aid, special needs monies, home foods, community welfare officer, translations, Cars, mobile Telephones, Satellite TV., remember all are freely available on demand, courtesy of unwitting Irish taxpayers. And by golly do Nigerians demand their “rights” Eventually the door opens to them upon a more resplendent package of welfare allowances along with their acquisition of Irish passports with few questions asked, easily producing up to @ Euros 3000 per month or so for life.

Why should anybody want to work and pay taxes for a living, when they reach this island of milk and honey? Only 38% of Nigerians even toy with such ideasBy way of insurance should any of the natives who after all are forced to fund this barefaced scam even dare question such " bountiful generosity" at their expense, they can easily be intimidated and dismissed, simply by labelling them "Racists" "Nazis" or "Xenophobes"

How can any sane person at this stage hide from the fact that the lunatics have indeed taken over the running of the asylum (the one we still call Ireland). Sure you couldn’t even make it up!"

A nation in shock

The nation reeled in shock today at a stunning report in the Irish Independent. Readers stood paralysed, glued to their copy of the newspaper as the amazing story unfolded. ‘I’m absolutely flabbergasted, who’d have thought that Nigerian asylum seekers were dishonest’ gasped Jean Pool, as, shaking, she read once again the following report:

Nigerians Net Millions Through Welfare Fraud

Figures obtained by the Irish Independent last night showed that one Nigerian man and his wife had illegally claimed almost €33,000 a year in social welfare before the racket was discovered.

A Nigerian woman who applied for asylum here in 2003 and was granted refugee status in 2005 and who was subsequently found to have a multi-entry visa for the UK, which she sought while living in Lagos. She had previously claimed in her asylum application that she had been forced to flee from Nigeria. She is still living here in receipt of rent allowance of €1,143 a month and payments of €245.80 weekly.

A Nigerian man who was stopped in Belfast on his way to Dublin, had two Nigerian passports, one which gave him permission to live in Ireland and the other to reside in the UK. He was registered to live here with his Nigerian wife on the basis that they had an Irish-born child but he had also been granted the right to live in the UK on the basis of a marriage to a Portuguese woman. He works in the UK but he and his wife claim social welfare benefits of €32,677.60 a year from the Irish State..

Another Nigerian man was stopped in Belfast while in transit to Birmingham. He had been here to collect his monthly social welfare benefit of €2,240. He is suspected of sub letting a house in Longford and is stated to have left the country in 2005.

€14 million has now been recovered since 2004.

‘I'm stunned’ exclaimed Inspector Robin Banks, ‘we in the police always thought of Nigerians as diligent, honest, hard-working - model citizens.'

‘Dishonest Nigerians, who could have guessed?’ he asked, shaking his head ruefully.

But as the day wore on the mood shifted from shock to outrage in many quarters. ‘This story is clearly a hate crime directed against a weak, vulnerable and marginalised minority, who fled terrible persecution in their home country’ claimed June Flowers, Chairperson of the Irish Refugee Council. ‘We will - funded by the taxpayer of course - fight these scandalous attacks all the way to the European Court if necessary’ she declared.

‘I was never so ashamed of being Irish’ she sobbed, adding ‘we plan to invoke anti-discrimination legislation to ensure that The Independent is closed down immediately, and for good’

When madmen lead the blind...

The unimaginably huge bailout for Citigroup highlights the unique revolving door process between the public and private sectors in the US. Most countries have a simple enough method whereby a politician or senior civil servant looks after an industry while in office and then, on early retirement, takes up a lucrative position as a reward, and in which he can undertake some keenly-focused lobbying with his old pals.

In America it’s different. Here you go back and forth as needs demand. It’s important to realize that there’s no bribery involved. No sir! It’s strictly above board. Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are prime examples, as is Richard (“Richard The Turd”) Perle.

While in a legislative or similar role, these crooks guys cook up the necessary legislation and/or stoke up a war to boost the ‘defence’ industry. For example Cheney was the main driver behind the Iraq invasion, the main beneficiaries happened to be Halliburton, where he was a former CEO. That company of course went on to earn billions from the Iraq caper, often by way of no-bid contracts, and which involved tens of millions in bogus charges to the Department of ‘Defence’.

Again, these manoeuvres simply pulsate with honesty. No secret bank accounts, no furtive payments in back alleys. No. However, the participants can make tens if not hundreds of millions while ‘employed’ in the private sector. All above board. Then, after a while, the call of ‘public service’ pulls them away, after which they resume their ‘legislative’ careers. The image is one of tough, no-nonsense businessmen, compelled to give up, albeit temporarily, lucrative careers in the cause of ‘public service’. So they win on the double.

The success or lack of same in the private sector has little impact on their careers. For instance Cheney was a disaster at Halliburton as a CEO, but this was more than compensated for by the er, other services he provided. And this brings me to Robert Rubin, late of Citigroup.
The staggering scale of the Citigroup collapse

The truly staggering scale of this bank’s downfall almost beggars belief. $300 billion plus in potential support, with 70,000 employees being laid off this year.
This assumes that the bank actually does survive.
The downfall was years in the making and was masterminded - inadvertantly - by said Bob Rubin. Citigroup insiders and analysts say that Rubin played pivotal roles in the bank’s current woes, by drafting and blessing a strategy that involved taking greater trading risks to expand its business and reap higher profits.

Rubin had moved seamlessly between Wall Street and Washington. After making his millions as a trader and an executive at Goldman Sachs, he entered ‘public service’ as Treasury Secretary under the Clinton administration. In this role he helped loosen Depression-era banking regulations that made the creation of Citigroup possible by allowing banks to expand far beyond their traditional role as lenders and permitting them to profit from a variety of financial activities. During the same period he helped beat back tighter oversight of exotic financial ‘products’.

He then, good career move, joined Citigroup, in 1999. All above board, as I say. Since then, in his role as a trusted adviser to the bank’s senior executives, Rubin’s mantra has been “you have to take more risk if you want to earn more”. This resulted in churning out billions of dollars in mortgage-related securities. As it built up that business, it used accounting manoeuvres to move billions of dollars of the troubled assets off its books, freeing capital so the bank could grow even larger. Little wonder that they were so heavily involved in the Enron and dotcom scandals, all during Rubin’s watch.

According to current and former colleagues, Rubin believed that Citigroup was falling behind rivals and he pushed to bulk up the bank’s high-growth fixed-income trading, including the CDO business.
Now get this: Citigroup’s risk models never accounted for even the possibility of a national housing downturn, In fact the bank told the SEC that the probability of those mortgages (in the CDOs) defaulting was so tiny that they excluded them from their risk analysis. The slice of mortgage-related securities held by Citigroup was “viewed by the rating agencies to have an extremely low probability of default (less han .01%),” according to Citigroup slides used at the meeting and reviewed by The New York Times.
These are the big swinging dick geniuses who told the rest of us that it was all too complex for us to understand! And they gave a housing crisis zero possibility!

Well, as the bank gets $375 billion of public money we know how accurate that was. So has Rubin grown a beard, taken to wearing a blond wig and moved to the Outer Hebrides? Of course not. He’s now a leading light in the Obama economic transition team and is a serious contender for a senior Cabinet position. In which role he can conjure up more innovative legislation before heading back to the private sector once again.
As Shakespeare said, 'when madmen lead the blind.....'

Just for pig-iron

The practice of political correctness may soon be tallying another casualty: the pig. Increasingly, as America and the rest of the Western world continue accommodating Muslim religious demands, pork food products are being singled out for removal from dining tables and pig-related trinkets banished from the desks of office workers.

If this continues, good ol’ American food, such as barbeque replete with hot dogs and ribs and the typical American breakfast of eggs, bacon and sausage, might be seen as the equivalent of political poison. Could outright censorship of pig depictions in drawings, pig references in literary works and pig portrayals in movies be far behind? Could the well-known, cartoon figure Porky Pig become a cultural embarrassment of our unenlightened past as we fear to utter the “P” word?

Though the notion may seem more appropriate for a comedy routine, an increasing number of pig-related incidents, accommodations and Muslim demands in recent years points to an uncertain future for our porcine friend and its place in our economy, culture and our culinary traditions.

In October of 2005, the Brits, clearly further along on the road to dhimmitude due to its proportionally large and more radical Muslim population, banned piggybanks as promotional gifts from its banks. At about the same time, government social welfare offices called for the removal of all pig paraphernalia, including pig calendars, toys and accessories from employee desks. These new regulations were implemented so as not to offend Muslim patrons.
Meanwhile, in the United States in 2007, several school districts removed pork products from their cafeteria offerings. Dearborn, Mich., schools banned pork completely to avoid the possibility that Muslims students might unknowingly eat it. The district later added special halal foods to its menu to cater to the demands of its Muslim population. An elementary school in San Diego that offers Arabic, single-gender classes and Muslim-only organized prayer, no longer offers pork to any of its students. And in Oak Lawn, Ill., where the administration is debating elimination of Christmas holiday celebrations, pork has already been banished from the school lunchroom.

Orthodox Jews, who follow kosher laws that prohibit the consumption of pork, have never demanded such special considerations for their chosen dietary habits nor have Jews feared accidental pork ingestion. They privately moderate their consumption according to their religious observances and often consume food prepared at home according to prescribed regulations.

Contrast this to how Muslims and their dietary habits are treated. In April 2007, a 13-year-old middle school prankster was suspended and his behavior labeled a hate crime for placing a bag with a ham steak on the lunch table of a group of Muslim students. That same month, Muslims started a Facebook group, “Fight Against Pork in Frito-Lay Products.” The more than 1,800 participants sought to pressure the company to remove pork enzymes from its cheese seasonings.

Last year, Somali Muslim (where's my flame-thrower?) employees at a St. Louis Park, Minn. Target store refused to handle pork products, citing religious reasons. Target made special allowances for Muslim employees, who now scrutinize customer purchases and can call for assistance when a pork product appears at their check stand. Presumably, the Muslim employees knew they would be encountering bacon and pepperoni pizza when they signed on for their jobs and have no problem collecting a salary paid out of profits from pork sales.

In 2007, the Year of the Pig, an imam in Taipei complained after receiving a greeting card from Taiwan’s foreign minister depicting celebrating pigs. When “Year of the Pig” postal stamps were issued, the Taiwanese government cautioned citizens about using them on letters and parcels to Muslim friends or to Muslim countries. That year, China banned pig images and the mention of pigs in television advertisement to avoid offending the country’s Muslims.

This year, the popular story, The Three Little Pigs, was banned in a primary school in the United Kingdom as the school’s administration thought references to pigs might offend Muslim pupils. Another school removed all books containing stories about pigs, including the talking pig ‘Babe’ from classrooms following complaints from Muslim parents. In 2007, a UK church school production of The Three Little Pigs was renamed The Three Little Puppies to maintain multi-cultural sensitivities.

Ironically, the pig is mentioned often in Mein Kampf the Koran as a derogatory reference to Jews.

In further accommodation to Muslims, Fortis Bank in the Netherlands and Belgium dropped its pig mascot. Knorbert the pig was eliminated after seven years with a statement from a bank spokesperson that “Knorbert does not meet the requirements that the multicultural society imposes on us.”

A recent BBC report described how pork butchers are gradually being put out of business as Turkey adopts a more fundamentalist Muslim character. Pork slaughterhouses are being closed in record numbers to accommodate shariah law countrywide.

Where will this end? Will “Animal Farm” be banned at our high schools and university campuses? Will the words “pork barrel spending” and “porker” be eliminated from the vernacular? Will Piggly Wiggly supermarkets be forced to change its name and re-brand its products? This could all be quite amusing if the implications weren’t so grave.

A stunning breakthrough

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (not Patrick Deval), the first black Governor of that state, has proclaimed Obama's ascension as offering the solution to the notorious rates of black imprisonment. In an impassioned appeal, he calls for Obama to 'redress the last great legacy of slavery' - the ratio of blacks jailed compared to other races. He sees this as an update on Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech.

I found myself fired by this as well. What a vision! If only it could be achieved! But how?

I set about finding out. I devoted myself day and night. Chateau Savant was declared off limits to Lady Savant and the savantettes as I confined myself to my research. Weighty legal tomes littered the floor, interspersed with mounds of research papers on criminology. The Internet hummed with an avalanche of queries and responses from around the world.

But the answer wouldn't come. I lay wake at night, sweated, thrashed about, tortured by images of incarcerated blacks. 'Help me Bono' I cried out 'in my hour of need'.

And He must have intervened, because suddenly, in a blinding flash it came to me. The history-changing solution to black incarceration rates. And it was as simple as it was brilliant:

'Reduce your crime levels to those of whites and you'll go to jail at the same rate as whites'.

Isn't that something? Like all breakthrough discoveries, it was there in front of us all the time.

Now, must be off, have to put in a call to the Pres-Elect to give him an update. I think a Nobel Prize could well be on the way.

Michael Jackson becomes a Muslim

Michael Jackson has converted to Islam and changed his name to Mikaeel, it has been claimed today. The 50-year-old singer, who has previously been photographed wearing a traditional Arab women's veil, reportedly became a Muslim in a ceremony at a friend's house in Los Angeles.

Wacko, who was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, is said to have sat on the floor and worn a small hat while an imam officiated at the home of Steve Porcaro, who composed music on his Thriller album.

His brother Jermaine Friday, previously hinted Jackson was considering converting to the religion. 'When I came back from Mecca I got him a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it's peaceful and beautiful,' said Friday, who embraced the faith in 1989.

'He read everything and he was proud of me that I found something that would give me inner strength and peace. 'He could do so much, just like I am trying to do. Michael and I and the word of God, we could do so much.'

‘He also felt that as the Prophet (PBUH) spent so much time fucking children it opened up great possibilities for him to legally pursue his favourite activity’.

Viva la difference

Bono and Africa

Great comment on the Bono post. I reproduce in full here. It ties in closely with a lot of what I've been saying especially in the post 'Can't feed 'em? Don't breed 'em'.

"He never ceases to call on others, governments, corporations and citizens, to contribute generously to the alleviation of African poverty"

In Africa's case, because the destitute there simply keep breeding at way Way WAY!!!! too high a rate, we really are throwing money into the ocean by helping them. Until they get their birthrate down to 2.0, we should not give them anything. They are only breeding more poverty. We should only give them some seeds, and show them some farming techniques, and teach them about replacement birthrates and contraception, and then leave.....................and whatever happens from that point forward be damned.

Or better yet, let the Chinese and Indians worry about it, since they are more-or-less recolonializing the continent. The pygmy black-Asians (they are Asian according to their DNA) living in stone-age conditions on the Adamintine islands were not confronted with colonialism, and they still saunter about bare-assed naked like savages. Since we have heretofore have had no contact with them whatsoever, this is NOT OUR FAULT in the least. In truth, and we all know it, Sub-Saharan Africa would be a stone-age place if it were not for colonialism and modern communications that have availed it to the modern world.

If it were left alone, it would find a stable population [This is my main point: Savant] and it would slowly evolve to a more modern situation on its own over several hundred years. But since we "baby" the place by giving them medicine and food, like all "welfare" recipients, they are dissuaded from developing successful agriculture and institutions of education, law enforcement, and medicine of their own. We could have helped them speed up the process by showing them "how", giving them a written language, some basic hardware to get started, and then leaving. Come back in 100 years and see if any progress has been made.

But we didn't do that. We stayed and became their life-time nanny. The result is that there is infinitely more of them to feed, and increasingly they cannot make it on their own. South Africa is falling into Zimbabwe-like array, and Zimbabwe might be like a starvation-war-zone in another 10 years. The answer is not to let them overwhelm the West via immigration, but for them to fix their own land themselves.

You cannot let someone who is letting his own home fall apart, who wont retain employment and pay his own rent, to come and live with you. He will never leave, and you will just have to pay for him. But what about when he finds a slag and starts having babies? Are you going to feed them all when he and her have five kids? You cannot. You have to let him go to sink or swim for himself.

Bono thinks he is helping, but he is really hurting long term.

I'd just ask whether Bono really does think he's helping. My own belief, just like with Bob Geldof, is that it's all one massive ego trip.

Dr. Bono and Mr. Hyde

Here is the Strange Case of Dr. Bono and Mr. Hyde

Dr. Bono
Dr. Bono is a saintly man. He worries about the poor, especially in Africa. His brow furrows as he contemplates world hunger. He never ceases to call on others, governments, corporations and citizens, to contribute generously to the alleviation of African poverty. He passionately invokes Ireland’s "moral force" in the battle against hunger. Dr. Bono takes laggards gently but firmly to task.

Despite an aversion to self-publicity, he selflessly works himself on to every possible channel to publicise these problems and to exhort others to donate generously. He even forces himself to fraternise with lowlife such as GW Bush and Tony Blair in his selfless attempts to enrol them in curing the world’s ills.

But then, some time between sunset and the dawn, a strange and sinister metamorphosis occurs. In a transition that would do justice to Robert Louis Stevenson’s original masterpiece, a new and horrible figure emerges. This one, dressed in lounge-lizard designer casuals, can be seen prowling a nether world populated by the most notorious of parasites: tax-evasion experts, property developers and lawyers His four-inch platform shoes make him an even more menacing figure.

Mr. Hyde

Here Mr. Hyde, for it is he, with the aid of his co-conspirators, leaves no stone unturned in his efforts to avoid paying his taxes. The same taxes that Dr. Bono selflessly urges to be spent on alleviating Africa’s problems. Lurking in the shadows, this smooth operator ferrets out every opportunity to add to his already enormous wealth. He uses his influence to game the building regulations, and, like Ozymandias, plans ever more grandiose monuments to himself. A master of disguise, Mr. Hyde is seldom identified by the general public. Hence, his dastardly deeds go largely unnoticed.

A truly remarkable tale, worthy indeed of the great RL Stevenson

A suitable boy

Have you ever noticed how the recently deceased take on virtues that were largely unrecognised when they were alive? Nowhere is this more evident than when referring to the victims of black-on-black gang crime in the UK. It often seemed to me that the murderers sought out the most good-living and innocent as their victims.

Take as an example the shooting of 16 year-old Congolese immigrant Jonathan Matondo in Sheffield about a year ago. The BBC had it “much loved by his friends, family and the community." The teenager was "such a good boy, so funny" (quoting his uncle), and they quoted the ‘Reverend’ Jack Kinsiona to the effect that the murdered teenager had even planned to become a preacher!

Mr. Kinsiona, apparently, cried as he spoke about the youngster. "Jonathan was a great person, he had been to our church. . . I am crying now . . . because Jonathan was very popular in the church." The vicar added: "I want you to know that Jonathan was not bad. He was a very, very, very great person."

Now we know that the Beeb has drunk so liberally of the multi-culti Kool-Aid that anything they say is suspect. But even the Daily Mail, that staple of fuming, purple-faced colonels in their clubs, lets us know, in a blaring headline, that “Teenager who wanted to be a priest murdered in 'Wild West' shootout between feuding gangs”.

Now, simple soul that I am, I was duly impressed by all of this, and all the other black paragons of virtue who had met their untimely ends in the course of gang attacks. Well, I was impressed until I spoke to a friend currently doing a research stint in one of Sheffield’s two universities. He revealed that he’d been attracted by its claim to be ‘Britain’s safest city’. (Mind you, that's like claiming to be the world’s tallest dwarf, but no matter).

In fact it seems that, in common with most British cities, whole areas of Sheffield are given over to violent criminal gangs, most of a non-white hue. Needless to say, the Somalis are at the forefront. They control the Broomhall area, and police intruding on their patch will be met by a hail of gunfire, and if they persist, by petrol bombs from the balconies.

These ‘tower blocks’ are of course referred to by the MSM as deprived, isolated, ignored – you know the drill. With this in mind I direct you to the image below where St. Jonathan was killed. This, apparently, is the epicentre of the problem area. Now what do you see?

Well what I see is a nicely laid out block of apartments, with a public park, plenty of greenery and a recreation area right alongside. In fact the kind of setup that most people in the UK, let alone the Congo or Somalia, would pay – and have paid - a lot of money to be part of.

And this brings me back to St. Jonathan. Apparently he wasn’t quite the paragon we were lead to believe. In fact, according to my friend, and there are several sources on the Web to back this up, he was a key figure in the gang warfare and drug dealing that blights the area.

A leading member of the S3 Gang, he was, according to police (admitting it now, as distinct from when he was shot) ‘a feared gunman and drug dealer, and someone who struck fear into other teenagers’. He apparently had a squad of police and youth workers assigned almost full-time to him. He rejoiced in the gang-name Venomous. And venomous he certainly was.

Now why did the MSM provide such a grossly misleading picture? Why do they continue to do so? Is it because the victims (and perpetrators, of course) are invariably black, and hence beyond balme for anything they do? I don't know, but whatever the reason, they’re failing miserably in their prime duty - that of keeping the citizenry informed.

But then, if they did keep us properly informed we might start asking the wrong questions. Like, ‘why the fuck are we leaving these savages into our country in the first place?’ Questions like ‘why don't we ship these bastards back to where they came from without further ado?’

A lot of unanswered questions throughout this post. But of one thing we can be 100% certain: Allowing large numbers of blacks into a country, city, suburb or school will see a commensurate and rapid decline into crime, violence, ignorance, welfare dependency and overall societal breakdown. And a final question: why should we put up with it?

And speaking of the ignorance element, I offer in conclusion some evidence of the skills these cultural enrichers will endow to British society. Here are some of the ‘in memoriams’ left at the scene of the murder.

"Its Eatin Away At Mee Cah I No Im Neva Guna See Mii Big Cuzen Agen..
"All Those Times Yuv Tld Me Yuv Gt Mii Bak Nd If Ne1 Bothers Mee Dat Yur Here Nd Yu Will Sort Em..

And even in the unlikely event of any of these latter-day Shakespeares applying for a job, you couldn’t test them on their writing skills as this would ‘contravene equality legislation’. Think I'm joking? Check out my earlier post here.

Reagan and America's decline

It’s been said that if you have the name of rising early, you can lie in bed all day. I bear this in mind when I try to identify the causes of America’s dramatic decline over the last few decades.

Where did America go wrong, and who was mainly responsible? Quite obviously there’s no simple answer to this, but I propose here that it was mainly due to the loss of real conservative values, and furthermore, that the original culprit was that poster-boy of American conservatism, Ronald Reagan.

Sure Reagan made a career out of flag-waving and repeating meaningless ‘conservative’ bromides. ‘Shining city on the hill’, ‘morning in America’, ‘indispensable nation’ - all that bullshit. But he fatally undermined what I believe were the real conservative values that made America great: honest and hard work, deferred gratification, saving for a rainy day, paying as you go, neighbourly self-help. Those kinds of things.

Of course Reagan paid lip service to these concepts, but it was only lip service. And here I contrast him with the much reviled Jimmy Carter. Taking over just as the Vietnam War finished, Carter recognised a vital watershed. It was the first major war the US undertook that was financed by borrowing – the general public took no financial hit.

Carter also recognized that America was rapidly transforming from a country that produced about 80% of what it needed for itself to one becoming dangerously dependent on foreign imports, especially oil. In the process heading towards being a debtor nation, rather than the world’s biggest creditor.

He understood the corrosive impact this would have on society at large, not just the economy. The founding principles were being undermined. He called it a crisis that 'strikes at the heart and soul of our national will, and poses a mortal danger’. Now there’s nothing Americans like better than a new enemy to fight, but they were immediately disappointed when Carter in effect said ‘we have seen the enemy – and we are it’.

The Great American Public didn’t like this at all. They were quite happy to continue, as Carter put it, to ‘worship self-indulgence and consumption’ and to ‘continue to pile up material possessions’. Which of us wouldn’t, I suppose? In any event, it was a tipping point, because Reagan could tap into the zeitgeist in a way that Carter never could, and he made mincemeat of him in the Presidential Election that followed about a year later.

He did so not least on the basis of letting the good times roll (‘morning in America’) and spending what you liked – the bills would never have to be paid. Under Reagan, personal and national debt skyrocketed. And in his enthusiasm for free trade he allowed his cronies in the business world to export American jobs to low cost economies, and relaxed immigration controls to provide the same cronies with cheap internal labour.

While the pride of American industry – high-end manufacturing – was being systematically exported, the ‘defence’ budget was turbo-charged. Whereas this was clearly a response to powerful lobbying, there was also a more strategic goal. While Carter’s solution to the energy problem was to use less, develop greater thermal efficiencies, economise and explore alternative fuels, Reagan’s was to use military might to dominate the main sources of oil, and hence ensure non-stop supplies.

Reagan believed, or professed to believe, that if you got government out of the way, everything would be just fine. With this in mind his people introduced sweeping deregulation of the finance industry, especially the Savings & Loans sector. New legislation encouraged the S&Ls to emphasise profits at the expense of providing mortgages to home buyers. The crooks duly cut loose and the result was the greatest financial scandal – organised theft - in American history. The taxpayer picked up a tab amounting to trillions of dollars.

Sound familiar?

(Incidentally, the Bush ‘family’ – I use that term advisedly – had their snouts deeply in this particular trough, making millions as the scandal unfolded. Again, free enterprise for the ordinary person, socialism for the rich.).

So all the main drivers of the country’s current problems - financial profligacy, destruction of high-end manufacturing and mass outsourcing of jobs, financial chicanery dressed up as deregulation, mass immigration and dependancy on potentially hostile countries, - originated with Reagan. Yet he’s seen as the last President who maintained America’s ‘greatness’, and his reputation is up there with the stalwarts of history.

Reagan wasn’t a conservative, he simply mastered the medium to implement a radical and hugely destructive programme. ‘If you’ve the name of rising early………..

Just what we need.....

This you must see..

Watched Eight Below last night and it was brilliant. Well at least the dogs were brilliant. It’s based on a true story about how a team of loyal sled dogs had to be abandoned in Antarctica after an exploration team were forced to make an emergency departure.

After that the story splits in two, one focus on the dogs’ attempts at survival, the other on the humans’ attempts to rescue them. In terms of interest, the dogs win hands paws down and it’s truly amazing how the film crew managed to create such a distinctive set of doggie characters, and portray the subtle interaction between them. In comparison, the humans are straight from central casting.

At the end I confess I was in tears, much to the amusement of my Arab companions. You’d need a heart of stone not to be moved by this. Strongly recommended.

Growing old....

OLD IS WHEN: Your sweetie says, 'Let's go upstairs and make love,' and you answer, 'Pick one; I can't do both!'

OLD IS WHEN: Your friends compliment you on your new alligator shoes and you're barefoot.

OLD IS WHEN: A sexy babe catches your fancy and your pacemaker opens the garage door.

OLD IS WHEN: Going braless pulls all the wrinkles out of your face.

OLD IS WHEN: You don't care where your spouse goes, just as long as you don't have to go along.

OLD IS WHEN: You're cautioned to slow down by the doctor instead of by the police.

OLD IS WHEN: Getting a little action means you don't need to take any fiber today.

OLD IS WHEN: Getting lucky means you find your car in the parking lot.

OLD IS WHEN: An all nighter means not getting up to use the bathroom.

OLD IS WHEN: You're not sure these are jokes

Blacks never get a break

WASHINGTON—African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation's broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis.

As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, "It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can't catch a break."

Change coming in Saudi?

A visit to Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Korruption, is always interesting, if not enjoyable. I found this extract from Okaz, a local newspaper, a bit of an eye-opener. Reflecting on the election of Obama, the writer says

“We, who live outside America, do not love this giant empire because of its cruel hegemony over the world. Yet we cannot hide our admiration for this constantly reinvigorated spirit. It is always capable of reinventing itself and taunting all other countries that cannot show the same degree of dedication and loyalty to their professed principles”

“Is there any tradition in the world better than the American tradition, when the defeated admits his defeat and congratulations the victor?”

Nothing remarkable for a Western paper, but trust me, it’s major in the home of the Religion of Peace.

Tails wagging dogs

So Israeli PM Tzipi Livni has been forced to call new elections following her failure to form a new coalition. The failure stemmed from obstructionism by the religious/settler parties (largely but not totally coterminous).

(Question: Has there ever been, anywhere, at any time, a situation where religious parties have been other than divisive, polarizing trouble-makers?).

So yet again the religious/settler tail is wagging the Israeli dog. Most Israelis would willingly forego the occupied territories and East Jerusalem in exchange for a truly reliable peace deal. But the tail, holding the balance of power, wags them into impotence.

Having created an unrepresentative government that bends to its will, the tail goes national, or should I say international. Because now, committed to defending the illegal occupation, the Israeli government itself becomes a tail, vigorously wagging the American dog.

The Israeli Lobby in the US makes sure that any politician expressing anything other than unqualified support for Israel will find his career ended. Arising from this you have the barely credible situation whereby senior politicians (e.g. Al Gore, Hilary Clinton) professing that Israel’s security is America’s number one foreign policy objective. Funny, I'd have thought that American security would have been, but that's what you get when tails wag dogs.

And by the way I specifically referred to the Israeli Lobby, not the Jewish Lobby. There’s no such thing as a Jewish Lobby or a Jewish Plot. American Jews are only marginally more supportive of Israel than are other Americans, but the clincher is this: you’ll get Jews on the opposite end of every spectrum, and at every point in between. The US is a prime example, with most Jews having liberal agendas, while the extreme rightwing Neocons are virtually all Jews. Conflating the two is a serious mistake.

Peace and Love - Somali-style

All too frequently these days we hear of 13 year-olds getting stoned, be it cannabis, extacy, or what. But in the Islamic Paradise of Southern Somalia, teenagers getting stoned has an altogether different meaning.

In Kismayo (note, this centre of morality is where the Somali pirate industry is located - please check this recent post) the Islamist administration ordered that a girl, 13, be stoned to death for adultery after the child's father reported that she was raped by three men.

Amnesty International said the al-Shabab militia, which controls the city of Kismayo, arranged for 50 men to stone Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow in front of about 1000 spectators. A truck laden with stones was brought to the stadium for the killing. Amnesty said the girl struggled with her captors and had to be forcibly carried into the stadium. They said "Inside the stadium, militia members opened fire when some of the witnesses to the killing attempted to save her life, and shot dead a boy who was a bystander."

A 'spiritual' leader calling himself Sheik Hayakalah disputed this, saying: 'The evidence came from her side and she officially confirmed her guilt, while she told us that she is happy with the punishment under Islamic law.'' I bet she was. Delighted, in fact.

At one point during this religious ceremony, according to Amnesty International, nurses were instructed to check whether the victim was alive when buried in the ground. They removed her from the ground, declared that she was, and she was replaced in the hole where she had been buried for the fun to continue.

None of the men accused of the rape was arrested
Please remember - Somalis are the worst nation on earth, worse than Nigeria and Nigerians.

Halleluiah - the Cleansing Hellfire cometh

Every cloud has a silver lining, and the economic storm clouds settling over Ireland at present are no exception. As I've suggested in earlier posts, I've long believed that our economic crash would flush out a few scurvy beetles from under their stones. Now the trusty sword of desperation has been taken to a whole herd of victim and equality white elephants.

The Equality Authority has had its budget cut in half – they’re half way there – while 15 staff members will be transferred to deepest Tipperary. Hopefully some of them won't go and there’ll be a further reduction. The Human Rights Commission will have its budget cut by 25%, while best of all, the National Consultative Commission on Racism and Interculturalism is to be completely axed.

Now let’s not get carried away. The country remains infested by hundreds more of these parasites. For instance there are almost 200, that's right, two hundred, bodies directly or indirectly dealing with immigration/asylum. But at least it’s a start. What's even better is that despite the bleatings of the MSM, nobody else seems to give a damn.

Let’s be clear. There was a need originally for many of these outfits. But they should have been disbanded after the requisite legislation was passed. Not only have they, like all bureaucracies, continually grown and expanded (via taxpayers’ money of course) but they attracted the usual nut-cases who thrive in such organisations. You must check this short post to get a sense of what I mean.

The cleansing hell-fire is upon the land.
